It also allows you to establish yourself as an expert in the community and to network with other bloggers.
But it can be time consuming.
VERY time consuming.
In my last post I showed you a few short cuts using search engine codes.
Today I am going to show you something a little bit different.
If you have been following my blog for any length of time then you should know that I strive to uncover, reveal and give away all of the best tools, tactics and techniques that I can find.
I may even promote the occasional affiliate offer if it’s something I truly believe in (like 7 Figure Networker for example) but if there is a free tool that is just as effective, or more so …well screw the affiliate commission, I’ll just give you the free tool.
Just because I like you …and I’m cool like that.
I spent some time digging around for some software that would make blog commenting a lot faster, smoother and easier. There are several paid options like “Fast Blog Finder” and another one called “Kahuna” or something…
But a little more digging revealed a free blog commenter called “The Free Blog Commenter“. (how clever)
Not only is it free, but according the reviews it is far superior to the paid tools.
Now I just downloaded The Free Blog Commenter the other day, so I’ve only just tinkerd around with it, but so far this thing looks pretty frickin bad ass!
Basically you enter a keyword that is relevant to your blog, and The Free Blog Commenter brings up a list of blogs based on that keyword. Here’s the cool part.
All of the blogs that this tool pulls up are dofollow.
How sweet is that?
When you do a search you have 4 options. you can search for blogs using “CommentLuv”, “KeywordLuv”, “Nofollow Free” and “Top Comments” all of which are automatically dofollow. There is also an option to search for wordpress blogs which may or my not be dofollow.
Next you can have The Free Blog Commenter pull the page rank for each site, and then sort it, highest to lowest. How awesome would it be spending a day pulling in dozens of PR9 backlinks? I know, pretty fricken awesome!
You can enter and save your commenting profile so you don’t even have to manually leave each comment.
I could just leave things here but with a tool this powerful, you need to know a few more things.
1: The name field
If you comment doesn’t get approved, you don’t get the backlink.
While just putting your keyword in the name field might be “good” for seo, it does you no good because it will most likely be blocked. This leaves you two options.
First, just use your name. It’s simple, respectable, and it won’t get your comments banned.
Second, you could use your name and a keyword. Try something like “Jack the seo guy”. This will improve your chances of getting your comment approved, but it’s still a little more risky that just using your name.
2: The url field
You want to do more than just link to your top level page. You also want deep links. This means using the url for specific blog posts or pages on your blog. I like to use this tool to get backlinks to each new blog post I write. That makes this easy.
3: The comment field
The Free Blog Commenter will let you enter a generic comment and just slap it up everywhere.
Don’t do that.
That’s spam and it will do you more harm than good. We are trying to do more than just generate backlinks here. We are also forging a relationship with other bloggers and other blog readers.
At least take a few seconds, scan the post and leave a relevant, thoughtful comment. If you can leave comments that show you know your shit, you will get traffic directly from these links. The blogger will check you out, his readers will check you out, and if you write enough epic shit in your blog, you will pick up a few more raving fans.
Basically just be smart about it.
4: What next?
Ok, so you’ve been writing some epic shit, you’ve been building backlinks like a mother and you are starting to get traffic. Now what?
If this is just some little hobby for you then I guess you’re good to go, but if you are trying to actually build some kind of income from your efforts, well you had sure better know what to do next.
Once you get traffic to your blog you need a way to turn that traffic into leads. This means you need some form of lead capture form, some sort of sales funnel, and a way to manage your leads.
You could do this all your self, in fact that’s what I did at first because I didn’t know any better. I took me 10 months of DAILY study and practice before I even STARTED to get the hang of it.
I had to learn copywriting, I had to learn how to craft an effective offer and how to present that offer, I had to learn how to code everything, I had to learn how to actually generate leads and then I had to figure out how actually get money from those leads.
Keep in mind that I have been using the internet and writing HTML since I was 13 years old, and it still took me 10 months to figure this out.
I want to offer you a short cut. (drum roll please) It’s called the 7 Figure Networker, and it does exactly what I explained above. It is one of the best lead generation, marketing and training systems on the internet today.
And yes this is an affiliate link, but as I have always stated, I only promote stuff I use and have 120% faith in. Check it out here.
I’m sure you’ll love it. In fact if you don’t love it (for some reason) I’ll cut off my left pinky finger and mail it to you …first class …that’s how much faith I have in this product.
